The position:

• Responsible for preparing supplier payments, invoices, receipts, and bank reconciliation in accordance with company policies & procedures.
• Accountable for all accounting entries on the ERP system; and assisting in the preparation of monthly closings and monthly financial reports in accordance with IFRS.
• General GL maintenance.
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with payroll administration.
• Prepare journal entries.
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
• Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Ad Hoc requests based on business needs.

You should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant degree.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as an Accountant.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Xero experience.
• Proven knowledge and experience of UAE taxation rules and requirements.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.

You should be able to take initiative and possess the ability to work both autonomously and in a close-knit team environment. Problem analysis and problem-solving will be at the heart of your role, and therefore attention to detail is critical. You will have a proven track record of successfully working to tight deadlines.
