Role Overview:

Uqudo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. Reporting to the Administration Manager, the Senior Legal Counsel will play a critical role in providing legal support across various aspects of our business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B SaaS, Venture Backed Finance, and Fintech-related law, with experience working within the MENA region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently handle a wide range of legal matters, including contract drafting, review, and negotiation, corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Provide legal guidance and support to internal stakeholders on day-to-day legal issues, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess legal risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends, keeping abreast of changes that may impact the business.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, and best practices to support organizational growth and compliance.
  • Work closely with outsourced legal counsel on specialized topics, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to address complex legal matters.
  • Support corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and integration activities, as needed.
  • Manage legal documentation and records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; JD or equivalent degree preferred.
    Admission to practice law in the MENA region.
  • 10+ years of experience in legal roles, with a focus on B2B SaaS, Venture Backed Finance, and Fintech-related law.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, intellectual property, and data privacy regulations.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and research capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience working with outsourced legal counsel is a plus.
