Role Overview:
Uqudo is seeking an experienced Finance Director with a strong background in venture-backed B2B SaaS companies to play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and ensuring sustainable growth. Reporting to the COO, this role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance, including financial planning and analysis, investor relations, and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial planning and analysis: Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis initiatives to provide critical insights for strategic decision-making and foster business growth.
- Financial-related capital raising assets: Working closely with the COO to generate financial assets required for capital-raising activities, ensuring comprehensive and accurate data for the capital-raising data room.
- Develop and maintain financial models: Create and manage robust financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, gauge financial performance, and facilitate long-term strategic planning efforts.
- Drive strategic roadmap development: Work closely with the COO and key stakeholders to develop and refine the company’s strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics.
- Conduct market research and analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities, providing valuable insights to inform strategic decision-making processes.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations: Compile and present financial reports, presentations, and proposals to investors, partners, and key stakeholders, effectively communicating the company’s financial performance and growth potential.
- Optimize pricing strategy: Collaborate closely with the COO and VP of Product to develop and optimize pricing strategies, aligning them with market dynamics and business objectives to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with international payment regulations: Take full responsibility for ensuring the company’s ability to accept and process international payments in compliance with relevant government regulations and industry standards.
- Manage Mergers and Acquisitions activities: Work closely with the CEO & COO to identify, evaluate, and execute Mergers and Acquisitions targets, conducting due diligence and overseeing execution to support strategic growth initiatives.
- Exit Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the CEO & COO to develop and execute exit strategies, ensuring a smooth and successful transition in alignment with the company’s long-term objectives.
- Maintain company Cap Table and equity structure: Assume responsibility for maintaining accurate records of the company’s Cap Table and ownership structure in Clara, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience working within a Series B or above venture-backed company.
- 8+ years of experience in finance, investor relations, and business development roles, preferably in the technology or SaaS industry.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data, financial metrics, and business models.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of driving change and delivering impact in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, partners, and key stakeholders.
